Edward is supplying me with one PZ-1550 and a smaller BZ-1528. The crimping dies are in metric and according to viega in Australia these are the sizes that you'll need:

VAU 15mm
20mm
25mm
32mm
40mm
50mm.

These are the sizes that they said will work from 1/2 to 2" pipe. I'm going to test and make sure when it comes in. BTW. The tool uses generic Makita 18v batteries.

What's a generic Makita battery? Makita or not Makita.

 

It is exactly the same battery, without the label on it. Milwaukee now has generic m18 batteries tool that cost half the price on Amazon.

 

Those generic batteries are not made by Makita or Milwaukee. They probably work fine on the non-brushless tech, but the latest tools, have battery protection mumbo jumbo built in.

If you are using US inch-size press fittings made to ASME B16.50, then you absolutely do not want to use metric jaws. That will immediately void the warranty of any press fitting manufacturer. Metric and Inch fittings can appear to have similar dimensions, but they are not a true match.

I've been using the compact press tool for 3 years now. It works PERECTLY and I have no complaints. I paid about $1100 including shipping to get the 1/2 -1" VUS jaws and the electrical crimper jaws.

I also paid another 900 2 years ago and got the 32kn press tool. I only need the tool and the batteries because the head will work with the Ridgid Jaws I already have. I also have the jaw set for the Zoomlock 2 fittings and they also fit right into the Zupper tool.

I want to be clear this tool is A LOT better than the compariable press tools made in the USA. It uses the brushless motor, has a handly digital display that shows the battery life, and it's very versital.

Frankly it makes no sense why the techs in the USA are pay 3 grand for comparible press tools in the USA. It's just a hydraulic cyclinder with a 18V motor/pump and a couple batteries. When you think about it the tool itself only costs a few hundred to make at most.

I don't know about Amazon but I've always ordered directly from Zupper through the Alibaba site. Some pointers you'll need to keep in mind is to specifically ask for DHL shipping because they handle the customs paperwork. Also if your order is over 900 bucks you'll need to pay a 25% duty. Under that there's no fee that I'm aware of.

Usually it takes about a month for the item to clear customs and arrive at your front door.

Make sure you specifically ask for "VUS" jaws.

 

I just looked at Amazon and I see it now. 900 bucks is fair and it looks like zupper is selling directly through the Amazon site now. You can see it takes a while to come in but its well worth the wait.

 

Back in June 2018 I paid $1799 for the M12 force logic kit 1/2", 3/4" ,1" jaws. I got a "free" 1-1/4" jaw and M12 band saw for a promo.
Since then I bought 3/8", 3/4", 7/8" RLS jaws, and a 3/4" PEX press jaw. Thinking about doing the 1/2"-1" MegaPress IPS jaws at some point.

Am I upset I spent an extra couple hundred? Nah, only because I got the 1-1/4" jaw and band saw included, that's an extra $350 worth. Not only that the RLS & Zoomlock Max jaws are guaranteed to fit.

I'm sure the Zupper is fine too, but without confirmation, I'd be a bit weary of compatibility. I do like that it has an Oled display on it. In any case I would suggest anyone thinking about buying one of these press tools, to definitely do it. If my M12 broke tomorrow though, I would probably look at one of the Zuppers, or a bare tool only M12.

 

Well lets not guess and here's the facts:

My compact unit works with the Zupper viega jaws perfectly.

My EB-1550 fits my Ridgid 1/2- 2" viega jaws, and also handles my Mega Press and my Zoomlock 2 jaws. No leaks, no problems, and frankly the tool is better in just about every way imaginable.

 

I appreciate the information. The sales rep at Zupper wanted me to use Express shipping, but I will ask about DHL. I've been impressed by the build quality and the people at Zupper so far. There's a newer unit out too... PZ-3240 or something like that

I just looked at that.

It's an upgrade from the PZ-1550 which is a lot more like the Milwaukee M18 press tool. Can't speak to it's reliability.

My larger press tool is simular to the ED-5050. It's also a brushless design that's more like the ridgid press tool. BTW you can request they upgrade your batteries to the 5ah if you want. It only cost me another 20 bucks. This tool will fit any of the full size ridgid viega copper press jaws and also works with Mega Press Jaws and the Commex press jaws.

Yes, there are different jaws for PEX and copper press fittings. I have the M12 3/4" PEX jaws, just for water heater connections, if that is the existing plumbing. I don't really do much other sizes in PEX.

So the M12 pex jaws will only fit the smaller (or mini Zupper tools (like the 1550 or 1930)?

 

I'm a DIYer and my wife bought me the zupper propress for xmas as a surprise based on the recommendation here. Had the PZ 24-something on black Friday sale for $639 on Amazon with free one or two day shipping. Made a test fitting and no leaks. Thank you for posting about it!

 

I picked up the Vevor EB-1550 kit for $1300 Canadian which is around $900 USD a couple of weeks ago.
We mostly do black pipe. If I could have purchased the Ridgid or Milwaukee with only the Megapress jaws I would have gone that route.
I've used the 2" Propress jaws and I've used it with the Ridgid 48553 Standard Megapress kit jaws.
Had no problem pressing 1-1/2" schedule 40 pipe.
I have yet to try the 2" but I have no doubts it can do it.
What's nice is that the tool tells you how many presses it has peformed.
The weight of the tool on Vevor's own website is incorrect at 13.2lbs or 6kg.
Actual tool weight is 7.5lbs for the tool only and 8-13.5oz with the 4AH battery.

 

Just an update to the post above.
In posting the above pictures I noticed a crack in the plastic case on the left hinge.
I contacted amazon about a replacement case and they are out of stock so they can't send me a replacement.
They just sent me a $150.00 gift card for my trouble.
I'm liking this tool even more now.
