I found a website offering Djarum cigarettes for $24 a carton (160 cigarettes), but they don't list the exact type I smoke and it's not in America. I also found an indian reservation in NY selling cigarettes and they do carry the ones I smoke for $36 a carton. Both these prices are real cheap, as packs in a smoke store are $6-$7.

Is it legal to place a cigarette order online and have them shipped to Pennsylvania? How about Delaware (because I'm never home and could have them shipped to a friend's business). How would I find out if Pa or De or any where else is legal or not?

Do you end up paying for the taxes after they are shipped somehow? There are no taxes on the reservations, which is why they are cheap to order, but does it catch up to you?

Has any one had an issue not receiving their order; this is very cheap and I'm leary if something seems too good to be true.

Any one know of a good website for me to purchase from?

Then one day I get a certified letter from ATF saying my ciggs. were confescated at kennedy airport, The letter said if i wanted dilevery i would have to pay all the back taxes due, $980.00 If i did not reply in 30 days the ciggs, would be destroyed.I through the letter away.
I informed yesmoke what happened, the credited my account.The site was closed down for awhile.
NOW, i`ve been getting my ciggs. from" ciggeretts-online-store"
THey come from the ukrainian country with russian writting on them.
It~s been 3 years of ordering with no problems. Is it legal? NO.
You have to pay state & fed. taxes to be legal.

Nahhh I dont actually think that much.....

I love Eddie... and unfortunately I love the smokes.

Here in CA, a friend and former co-worker ordered some from an Indian reservation web site out of state, after a large tax increase was voted in here. He got them just fine, along with a bill a few days later, for the tax incurred from being brought into the state. They'll get it one way or the other.

It is considered tax evasion in NJ. On your state tax form, they ask you have you purchased anything from another state and did not pay or claim NJ taxes on it?

The state of NJ thru court order went to the online cigarette companies and forced a list of purchasers from NJ from them. Guess what they got? A bill for the tax, plus penalties and interest. Of course they waited 3 to 4 years to hit the people. Some people I know people that got bills between $1700 and $9,000, but, they saved $10 to $15 a carton. The tax was like $15 per carton, penalties and interest was in the $100s per carton depending on the year of purchase.

If your state decides to persue non payment of taxes, your screwed. With an economy like this, they will. JMHO

On a brighter note, I thought about buying online but decided against it.

My brother got nailed in that.............he got a bill from the state...........he blew them off and they came looking for him.......they got the money in the end...............he would have been better off buying them at 7-11.

Hmmm... So I'd be better off taking a weekender vacation to NY or some other nearby place and visiting the indian reservation myself. Would the tax would catch up to me buying them in person?

Thought of rolling my own. Stopped at a store today that carries the clove cigarettes to see if you can buy a bag of the tobacco to roll yourself. Either the indian (?) guy didn't understand what I was asking or no one carries bagged clove tobacco. I'd find it hard to believe you cannot buy the stuff to roll. There's a smoke shop in Philly I should look into next time I'm there. I think they'd know more or at least be more helpful in getting me stated.

You'd probably be good to go. Just don't get caught with un taxed smokes in the car. It could get messy.
