Im mainly looking to pad my resume with as many certificates as i can get while i go to school. I get all the ESCO ones free from school and lately ive been looking for free or cheap ones outside of school that award a certificate or something to show you did it. I know it may not matter in the real world but i do seem to get some info from them regardless. I took the Taco online course and learned alot and it was all free plus i got a certificate. Id like to find more like that if i could. Ive also taken the ase 609 course just because.

That site has tons of info and courses. Looks like its employer access only though and since i dont have an employer i cant get access. Maybe worth it for me to just buy outright. That would be a lot of knowledge at my disposal.

Well i took the sanyo course for their eco-i systems. A ton of info in it and deals with alot of controls. Tests were fairly tough as well since it deals with more of the controls and toubleshooting of the systems. I think it was worth it and best of all free. It also got me to see abit of the controls side since i will never even get to talk about one in school.

Ive got to settle for the certs while im in school. Believe it or not that sanyo course taught me alot about controls and system links. I never would have gotten that at school and probably not really in the field. Taco has a decent solar cert that went along very nicely with school.

Im still trying to find more but not alot out there.

Check into RSES, it's certainly not free, but they have some e-training on their site. I haven't taken any, but I've heard some good things about it.

And this isn't a course, but it's free... my little corner of the web packed with a lot of useful info if you can find the right file you're looking for.

i know its and older thread, but fyi, at least in California, most if not all of the investor owned utilities, Pacific Gas and Electric, So Cal Edison, etc, offer Many free hvac courses, and most will loan expensive tools, like Air Balance hoods, data loggers, etc. I would think? that other utilities offer similar?
