I'm trying to find one as well, not for the 2 flat sided gland nuts but for the one with notches in it.

Is that what the socket one is for? I'm heading down to United Refrigeration later today, anybody know what I should ask for? A service gland tool or what?

I am guessing, everything made today with this type of gland nut has an 'O' ring. So tightening it may make it worse, just an educated guess on my part, yeah educated "guess" is what I'm guessing... So if it is leaking, I just replace the receiver and move on to the next job.

Would a pin wrench work for you?

If not; how about a hefty circlip plier with 90º tips on it?

You'll have to go to the source for that answer.

I sort of did - and found that he's doing it elsewhere as well. I guess he's perusing elderly threads. I used to be guilty of the same thing so: so what I guess? I will have to read the dates before responding. <g>
