Hi Folks!

My diagram is missing in the outside condenser for my Trane XB1000 unit. Could someone please share this diagram if you have it?

HVAC guy replaced capacitors on the unit but wants to put in a hard start capacitor. He asked if i had the diagram from the unit - I do not and he needs it to order the correct kit and verify wiring.

Model# TTB060D100A0

Many Thanks!!!

The forum rules do not allow us to assist with providing wiring diagrams, as they could be used for DIY repairs.

The wiring in this unit is very basic, and if your tech is using an aftermarket hard start kit, it should come with instructions on how to wire it up.

Sorry we could not be of assistance.

Hard start kit because its tripping the breakers (50A) every few days - he says inrush current. Once running its sitting right at 20 to 22 amps which he says is normal.

He wanted to order the OEM kit that is specified on the diagram. I don't know where to find it. I don't actually need the diagram really just the part number of the OEM hard start kit. He said aftermarket ones often use cheap capacitors that fail and sometimes damage the units even more. Hoping to get a year or two more out of the unit!

Thanks!

I will commend him on wanting the OEM kit. I don't like aftermarket ones either on Trane units.

I don't see why he can't call a "Trane Parts Center" near you, and have them look this info up for him. There is no reason a homeowner should have to do this.

Yep the wiring is super simple - 3 wires. I mean the entire unit is stupid simple....compressor, fan, two capacitors and a contactor/relay. I'm an electrical engineer and could have easily done caps myself but wasn't in town when it first failed.

He was looking for which factory kit to get, but i just found that the trane site is actually very friendly when you put in your full part number and/or serial. Not only does it provide the a full parts lists which lists the kit for my unit as BAYKSKT252A but it also has a ton of documentation including....you guessed it... the same manual/diagrams i would typically find tucked away in the unit (just like any appliance really) so I"m all set on what I needed. I'll print it and put it back out there - not sure where it went to begin with.

Happy Father's Day guys!
