Is the Religious Right to blame for Christianity's decline?

They argued that, as the Religious Right became increasingly visible and militant, it became associated with Christianity itself. And if being a Christian meant being associated with the likes of Jerry Falwell, many people—especially political moderates and liberals—decided to simply stop identifying as Christians altogether.

Happens more often than you think. The other thing these guys do is catch fish ahead of time and tie up a fish cage to a dock or a buoy, and retrieve them on tournament day.

I stopped entering torments for that reason.

The tournament trail I used to fish on Saturdays busted 2 guys who fished a Wednesday night trail as well. They were the release boat for Wednesday. For those that don't know, the release boat is the boat that takes all the fish out to the middle of the lake and releases them after they have all been weighed. What these guys were doing is releasing the smaller bass in the middle of the lake and taking the big bass to the back of a 2 mile long creek and releasing them there. Come first thing Saturday morning, they'd head to the back of the creek. While they still had to catch the released fish, they upped their odds immensely fishing for the fish they had planted.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

That's why I don't fish. You could get lead poisoning from the catch & release fish that have the lead weights in them. Awful, just awful.

Of course around here I wouldn't want to touch a fish for all the farm run off, etc. that runs into the rivers and lakes.

"I fully expect to win" LOL

Laughing all the way to the bank. Or so he hoped.

Probably got busted when he told the judges you might get lead poisoning if you eat those fish I caught . . .

That's a word I use once in awhile. Often it's with a helper who is learning. I'll explain what I'm doing and why. As a simple example, there may be something I overlooked, or maybe something I didn't put together quite right. I will explain that I could leave it and move along, but you always want to do the very best that you can even when no one is looking. Otherwise, you will never know how good you are. Plus it's good self punishment to use as a reminder to not do that again, LOL.

The other times I use it will be when I have to return to a job a lesser tech didn't do proper. And I can see the obvious short cuts. I will ask the 'tech' if he knows what the definition of integrity is. Most will say yes, but cannot offer the definition when asked. The honest ones will say no; sort of weird how many younger techs don't know the word 'integrity'.

Anyway, after explaining what I had to do to correct what they did, is when I ask the question. Then I give them the definition of integrity:

Integrity is always doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Then I just leave it there, let them think about it.
