    We did in-rush amperage test on old one( old several months lol) and it had 147 amps on start up. RA on the data plate says 127.1 RA.
    Ok, pulling higher than rated - tech support approved replacement.
    Installed new , same test , same in-rush 147 amp..... no difference, except no call back from the customer for a 10 days- that's a progress!! Not assuming that compressor runs backwards, we had videos and it always the same sound, - turn system off , 1h cool off, restart- works ok for a days.

    You could see 100,000+ on inrush with the proper instruments.
    I’ve never heard exceeding LRA compressor is bad!

    Transient torque can cause as much as 16X lra.
