Veto out of warranty zipper replacement
I have a Veto that is out of warranty and needs a zipper replaced.
Nobody in my area does any type of repair on something like this and has no suggestions.
Last time I contacted Veto about this, no response.
Anyone had success with an out of warranty repair on a Veto bag?

Man IDK if I would trust them to get it done in a reasonable amount of time if they cant even respond to an email.
Anyways can you post a picture?

I'd buy a second one and send the first one back for repair.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

I don't need 2.

There was a post a while back where someone sewed new zippers himself. Didn't look too bad.

Your local drycleaners may offer repairs. My mom used to do alterations and repairs for a drycleaners. The hard part in my mind would be sourcing a really good zipper like veto uses.

They started using metal zippers vs the plastic on some bags a couple of years ago.

I didn't know they ever used plastic. I am pretty sure mine is a metal YKK zipper.

Mine split at the bottom the other day, I poked 2 holes in the fabric part of the zipper just above where it would no longer stay together and put a nylon cable tie above the part that no longer closes. Of course the bag is 5 1/2 years old. I might just get the one on wheels next time.
