Function codes for MHK2 thermostat

Hi All,
I just had a 4 ton Mitsubishi ducted CityMulti installed. The fan runs continuously after reaching temperature setpoint. I would like to turn it off using function code 25 and 27. The thermostat is only showing function code 14 and no left or right scrolling arrows.

Any thoughts on why the codes are not showing?

Thanks—kindling bugging me. Have a call into Mitsubishi but out until next week.

Continuous fan can be annoying and even cause overshooting in multi systems. I would contact your installer and ask them to help with the setup. You don't want to mess with something without ensuring the design won't change. They should be able to point you in the right direction in order to access installer configuration. The settings may be set for different sensing locations. So, if you change the continuous air flow to off, you may not sense the temperature in the correct location. This is something that your installer will help walk you through, as they know how they set up the equipment.

Fan usually runs continuously because the temperature is sensed at the head unit and NOT the thermostat.

Thanks Everyone—very helpful,

I think Flyersfan has it. I found a Mitsubishi fan setting application note that details the options for stoping the fan. Should I set the Dip switches as noted on page 11 to On,On,On? Also, what good is a thermostat if the system senses temperature at the return air sensor that’s in my air handler in the garage? If I understand this air sensor location correctly.

Also, my mistake—it’s a SmartMulti.

I can’t post links yet (need 7 posts!!! So I cut the HTTP

The Smart Multi can work with all of Mitsubishi's indoor unit lines: M, P, and City Multi. Nobody can advise without knowing the model number of your indoor unit. That said, since this is a ducted system, and nothing is showing up in the configuration menu, it's probably a safe assumption the indoor unit is a City Multi, and so uses the DIP switch settings.

Those are the correct dips for turning off continuous fan, but if you're going to using them you need to change the temperature sensing location from the return air to the MHK2 using another dip switch. Not sure if setting dips is too DIY or not so I'll just say that the switch setting for that is in the indoor unit service manual.
