update - I chatted with Emerson and they said replace the controllers. not what i was expecting from the mfg. the support person suggested that it could be amp draw from the compressor and that the settings in the controller can affect the contacts ?!?!!?

ill try changing the antishort from 1 to 5.

any other theories and ways to find whats causing the random 60 minute overcool is so appreciated!

Tell the Support person hes full of $hit!

the controller closes the EEV or solenoid valve and the compressor pumps down.

i agree the support person was not helpful. the controllers are wired to the solenoids. the low pressure switches are wired to the contactors. (rem two independent units).

Doesn't the Keeprite evap MN# start w/ the letter K, like KLV ? Are the evaps facing/blowing into each other?

good question..two keeprite units are installed in the ceiling and opposing each other about 12 ft apart. however they are never running at the same time and are completely independent of each other.

Where exactly do the sensors "hang from" the evaporators?

Are the sensor probes always directly in the inlet air stream to the evaporators?

Problem: System operates below setpoint at times.

Possibilities: Either the compressor refrigeration does not respond to the temperature controller contacts opening - or the temperature controller contacts do not open at the lower set point.

A way to determine which would be an independently powered latch-out-relay circuit across the temperature controller contacts with the NC relay contacts powering a light. If you see a too-cold spike in the temperature monitoring graph and the light is out - the contacts opened and the problem keeping the compressor operating to cool below set point is elsewhere.

Is this WIC inside a building or is it an exterior unit?

Can you correlate the too-cold-spike issue with the ambient and/or weather conditions in any pattern-establishing way?

Close enough to return. But I would have put a union in that drain for cleaning.
