Dan, what do you dislike about this post? Just curious.

Efficient Duct Design? I have concerns
Even at 800 cfm with a 2t outdoor and 5t indoor your not going to dehu any better I reckon.
Unless your going to run your sst at 35*
There is so much surface area to that coil that your sst will likely be just a few degrees shy of DAT.
Again looking at the super high seer units, they have massive indoor coils and higher SST when charged to the proper subcooling.
Look at the coils from the 70’S they were tiny but ran a low sst. Today we find them in the 50* range.
Maybe I’ll get a hair up my behind and hook up to my unit. 16seer 3 t with 4 or 5t coil can’t remember at the moment

I was thinking more like an Aaon unit. A nominal 10 ton unit might have 1500cfm of air cooling it down to 48 deg or so. It still works okay. I was not suggesting mismatching stuff.

Interesting read.
Been going over some of my old load calcs from 20 years ago. Boy, it really is a garbage in, garbage out method. In the last couple of decades I have learned that you need a balance between load calc, duct sizes, experience, and good old common sense.
