Commercial Laundry - PVC Drains Acceptable

Commercial laundry facility in MA. Replaced existing cast iron waste/vent piping with PVC.

Question is whether this is code compliant.

MA plumbing code 10.06(h) says – Storm and Sanitary Above Ground… says PVC is acceptable.

but... 10.06(2) says piping for renovations or alterations within an existing soil stack, waste stack, vent stack or drain, the fitting or piping shall be of the same material as the existing stack or drain

If anyone has any experience with this would appreciate it. Thanks
