Quietest PTAC / help me find a pro.
I'm trying to find the absolute quietest PTAC units, price is not concern.
I have 5 in my new place, and the noise is driving me crazy. Have a mix of GE and Midea, but they all look fairly old.
AC only is fine, no heat needed.
I'm in San Juan, PR but I can get units shipped by freight if needed.

I don't know if this is the quietest but it is an inverter model which helps. https://www.hotspotenergy.com/hotel-air-conditioner/

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

There are several brands of inverter based PTHPs. Never seen or heard one but likely they are pretty quiet. The new GEs are reputed to be the quietest on the market but that likely is just the American market. Friedrich, a known American name just bought by Rheem says they have an inverter unit.

I see they claim to have the quietest in the industry.

Are mini splits not an option, you can barely hear them.

I don't think mini-splits are an option, but maybe? I have the top unit in this building (24 stories), but there might be a possibility to get permission to put the exterior unit on the roof.
I'd happily pay for a consult.
The dual fan/dc ptac units look interesting.
