Me doing an expensive turkey on the BBQ.

    Happy Thanks Giving to all.

Remember, this is not a day of gifts, but rather a day of connecting with family. Sharing memories, stories.

Please don't forget what this day is all about.

Happy gobble gobble. Its 1040 right now and my alarm is set for 215. Gotta have my kid in socal for Friday. Draging my 5er down to Norco. No turkey for us this year. Just small mobil meals. Enjoy the food boys but most of all enjoy the moments with your family because you never know which will be the last.

It was maybe a couple of years ago, at least before the lock down. I was doing dishes at the sink. My sweetie and I go back and forth, meaning we share that duty, little or no words need to be said. I like to cook when I have the time, but like to start with a clean kitchen.

I guess I had a bunch of stuff going through my head, after all, washing dishes is a rather mindless chore. Anyway, she asked me if I was okay. I said yeah, just thinking how good we have it. I mean, we don't have a fancy house, but we both have well paying jobs. All bills are paid. Indoor plumbing. In a very low crime rate part of town. Each have our own vehicle with a third if required. It goes on and on.

I told her we need to be very thankful for how good we have it, it's too easy to take things for granted. And it wasn't even Thanksgiving.
