Flow balancing manifold on a budget

What do you guys use for a manifold when doing flow balance. I saw a few online, they were crazy expensive. Is it possible to use a digital gauge, and a tee with 2 refrigeration hoses with ball valves? Just flip flop the ball valves to get your reading?

i use an old manifold with 3 hoses. on the suction gage side, i have a low range digital gage from Dwyer and on the discharge side i have a high range digital gage from Dwyer. this allows me to have as accurate a reading as i want...maybe not as accurate as a true flow gage, but good enough for the girls i date.

I bought a digital gauge and aluminum manifold online. Still have to put it together...I think I'm about $300 in.

Most important thing when selecting a gauge is the range. The larger the range, the less accurate it will be.

If you need high accuracy, do what Jay suggested, and use 2 gauges...one with a low pressure range, and one for a higher pressure range.

    First, thank you.

I am sorry but can not find the answer for the needles themselves.
    Where do you find those?
The gauge is not a problem to find.

Here's the part number for the larger armstrong type probes.....check that though, it may be the entire kit, not just the needle probes.

Budget: Use tee, nipples, ball valves, plastic tubing, and a selection of 2-3 pressure gauges. My cost $0, industrial customer donations.

Orange research dp gauge or Dwyer dp commercial options.

    Pete's plugs & needle probes.
