    Ch530 excessive comm loss

Have a CGAM with an excessive comm loss issue. Checked all cable connections, all seemed ok. Unplugged each device and rebooted to isolate devices in an attempt to locate the issue. Old style sporlan EXV seemed to be the culprit as the excessive comm loss alarm went away after reset with it unplugged.

My question is, what would cause one device to trip out comms on the entire machine?

This comm loss issue only started after hurricane Ida.
We replaced the exv on circuit #1 shortly after the storm due to comm loss and now circuit #2's EXV has the same thing.

If the suspect device shorts out it drags down the comm buss voltage and you get all kinds of comm issues . That’s why to solve comm issues you have to “divide and conquer”
