    It gets kinda scary when you measure 360-375 back emf on a cap with 370v rating.

    Yup...

    And adding more loops of tubing... would accomplish the SAME thing!

    Oh, and replacing the steel end plate with Aluminum... would have significantly lowered the leaks where the copper tubes go through the end plate.

    Problem is... both of those solutions would cost more...
    And we know the rest of that story...
