    Replacable filters

Can anyone recommend a filter system where you keep the metal frame and you only replace the media? If so which one would you recommend?

There are plastic filter frames that do this, but filters are so cheap it's just much more convenient to toss the whole thing. A pleated filter offers better filtration than fiberglass.

I recommend the Aprilaire filter if there is the space for the cabinet. The only time I would recommend what you are talking about is if it is a odd size and it is special use like equipment protection or paint booth type operation.
