    Carrier Geothermal Short off time

I've noticed in this hot weather that in the afternoon, while the unit is running it will get cool enough to satisfy, but only stay off for 6-8 min. I can't figure why it would stay off that short of an amount of time. I monitor the geo water in/out, supply/return, house and outside temps, not sure if I can provide info to help steer to the answers. Carrier staging was a real mystery in wintertime, that I couldn't figure out. Maybe this thermostat is wonky?

Longer run times ensure better comfort.
Is this a multi stage unit?
Do you have a modern learning thermostat?
    It's probably working as designed

The main thing is does the temperature hold constant and are you comfortable?

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Call the installing contractor back and get it figured out.
