Added to the “something new” book

So I’ll start by saying that working in the southern region I hear some pretty odd terms every once in awhile. “The heaty thingy” “That whatcha-muh-call-it in the attic” “The condensator machine” “Its low on Freeze on” etc. etc.

Not once have I ever heard of someone refer to a furnace as an “fornesh” haha , especially if that someone is an licensed electrician that just replaced the panel in this house... with that being said. what I discovered in the basement left me speechless for a few moments. We have a 13 seer 2.5ton straight air Goodman condenser matched with a ancient carrier coil and a 115k btu Gibson furnace (fornesh) from the mid 90s. The obvious R/A issue, the vent issues and a 14” supply that runs 40’ with no reducers. Of course how could I forget the basement full of mud, possibly sewage, and stagnant water. Name: IMG_4542.jpg

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Middle TN (not Nashville) I’m further south from the companies that charge $2k for a X-13
