Testo 550i Smart Kit
Anyone tried the new Testo probes for distance? I'm wanting a manifold and the 550i looks like exactly what i'm looking for, but I'd have to switch to the probes made by testo also, and I've not used the new long range probes and don't know how they work.
Also, I like the FP app that gives delta T on the evap, and all the air side measurements and capacity calculations, and also the TEET target.
Does the testo app do all these things also?
I've been a long term user of the FP probes, but like the idea of having a manifold to charge with and the Testo looks like a great idea.

Man I’m a fp fan as well. Personally, I don’t see myself ever going back to testo. Have you thought about getting the fp 380 or 480 manifold. I have the 480 and love it. It’s designed very well and feels built like a tank.

Yeah, you’re reading my mind. I had a 380 for a while and liked it, then sold it to a friend. I’m wanting a manifold again for charging. I just was thinking of possibilities.

I use a tee I made and a hose with my probes for charging but I’m guessing you want a manifold because it’s all around nicer to use?
Man I just love the range on the fp stuff. You should buy back that 380
I’m a total fluke fanatic but can you believe I just bought the fp 680 meter I said I never would try fp meters again but man I have to admit I’m liking it so far. It’s too big but I’m getting past that. The ability to see voltage on my phone while the meter is on the roof is just priceless. It has some other features I like as well.

I’ve used every meter known to man it seems like and being in a family of electricians helped a lot, but I use FP meters almost exclusively. The 440 is the best they’ve ever made. I have a Amprobe 51NAV that is good and lately an ideal fork meter, but they never make many trips with me it seems.
