    Hose binding question?

    Good afternoon everyone,

This may be a silly question, but due to how this and several other warehouses that we maintain are set up, we have to run our hoses from the ground and across the roof.
Does anyone know of something that can help keep the hose from pinching off as it crests the edge of the roof?
Water pressure is limited as you venture further away…

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I use silver bullet expandable hoses and they do not kink. The only problem with them is they are black and they're not very heat resistant so in the summer you can never turn the water flow off or they will overheat and blow out.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Attach a rope below the roof parapet to take some weight off the hose. For more water pressure, put a booster pump on the hose. If your are doing a lot of roof work a booster pump really helps getting coils cleaned out properly.

Try and prevent it from making a sharp turn. You can fold up a drop cloth or a sweat shirt or something and put that on the edge so the hose is making a more rounded turn and less of a 90 degree turn.

Or get some heavy duty hose that won't kink. Just had to buy a 100' roll yesterday for a roof. Closest choice was ACE hardware. They had a craftsman 6 sided (not round) heavy duty that didn't kink at all going over the parapit wall.
