    C wire stat

Hi all - I have a tech coming out today to install a smart stat for the summer cooling season. Actually using Amazon (first time using)) , they contract with a local HVAC shop he is licensed but a little worried! I have an old thermostat with an extra wire tucked behind it not used i guess he can use that as the c wire however i want to make sure he connects it correctly to the transformer. Im assuming the 24v terminal (please see picture). On top off the transformer has the inscription C above the 24 volt and R above the 48 volt. Just checking first with you guys.. Thanks again!

Oh boy...lol Good luck, let the tech figure it out. Don't wreck the old one.
If I do a job in 30 minutes it's because I spent 30 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes.
