    Subcooling Temp for Old Trane XB1000 5Ton

    Old 98 unit model TTB060D100A0 5 Ton . .Evaporator with TXV model TXC061C5HPB2 I cannot find the Subcooling Temp detail for recharge purpose. Anyone??

    This old Trane unit you have used “Pressure Curve” charts in their Service Facts (service manual) to aid in proper charging. They did not list a “Subcooling” number for units using a TXV.

    They also gave you the option of weighing in the charge based on the Rating Plate charge, plus any excess line length between the indoor and outdoor units.
    Instead of learning the tricks of the trade, learn the trade.

    Thanks Rundawg I do have the chart and thanks for confirming the method and reason for no Subcooling Temp detail.
