    Neprtonic SKDESC

Have someone on site dealing with one of these and we are having all sorts of very basic BACnet failure to discover or bind with it. Device was replaced and same problem.

This BACnet user guide / PICS / points list document is what they were given but one discover we did get has different points than documented.
    https://www.neptronic.com/humidifier...CXB-BACnet.pdf

Far as I can tell the guide claims BTL but a search of Neprtonic on BACnet international says not found for that device, nor even anything remotely close to any steam controller.
    https://www.bacnetinternational.net/btl/search.php

Anyone dealing with these devices have a story to tell?

Would bring that up with BTL. Seems like a misuse of their logo to me. Don't see anything in their listed devices that look anything like that guy.

It seems like short term this does not make the thing talk, but if it is really messy, it gives you cover to say 'I can't bring it in because it will not talk. Give me a device that can talk (and is verified as being able to do so by BTL) and I can git er dun'.
Or maybe a little Neptronic blackmail suddenly makes them more responsive in getting the issues fixed up for you quick.

If it gave me 5 min of headache and it appears its not really listed, all I need to tip off BTL and let them return the headache.

Used internet search to turn up multiple manuals for this thing on their site. The two with dates we assume are updates, but the device he actually has does not have the ability to set max master in the UI which is in the two latest manuals. Seems the oldest one with no date in the file name but 13 mentioned in the file is what they actually have, and got as a replacement. We did finally get it communicating and he's making more progress now.

Think this is the latest, linked from site

    Another
    https://www.neptronic.com/Humidifier...160405-EUA.pdf

    Another, presumed oldest
    https://www.neptronic.com/humidifier...CXB-BACnet.pdf

I also did fill out the BACnet international contact us on this asking about BTL.

Hahaha! I usually give it 15 min. Perhaps when I am slapped around by stupidity enough times, I will get to 5 min as well....

I've got two guys on site that have been dinking with this thing for weeks, and just hit the same problem after getting a replacement humidifier controller. They even hung one of our controllers on the comm in the humidifier cabinet to prove our comm, discovery etc works. I've got no issue asking a simple question on something that doesn't look right with BTL for a lot less than this.

I use many neptronic products but never anything with their humidifiers I do know this is a big market for them , and also all my experience with their Bacnet is rock solid from their HVAC wall controllers to remote IO. If you PM me I have direct email to their Technical manager.

    After a little back and forth;
    Hi Scott,
I have notified the vendor. It was a copy/waste error in their documentation and has been corrected.

    Best Regards,
    BTL Manager
The docs did have microsoft word metadata all over them, no doubt the new doc was created from another models doc.

So the documentation showed the device as BTL listed because of a copy paste error?

So do you get your money back or some kind of trade to another controller that actually works?

They must be a member, so can't blame for not getting too excited. Already extracted a few bucks from them.

None the less, hopefully it eliminates another garbage truck advertising as an Escalade.

My two coworkers are the ones that need to be reimbursed, all I did was spread the problem around a bit.

They did finally figure out a sequence of saving parameters and power cycling that got it working.

Neptronic are big players in Bacnet community, and products are pure rock solid , know nothing about the humidifiers though!
