    long time no see

been worknig on this house few day, complete rewire and service upgrade.

finally went in attic today and saw where attic fan tied into knob and tube wiring. looked like a job I did yearssss ago. tied in the romex to old wires, soldered, taped ,etc.

went into back part attic and saw a message on the joist, guess I did do the fan and duct as well, but only remember the wire connection.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Have you even taken the training wheels off yet lol.

O to be 25 again what I might have done different.

We where renovating a older building decades ago at our military base, one electrician in our squadron ( Civil Engineering ) put his military rank ( a low ranking Airman at the time ) date and his name on a interior wall that got sheet-rocked over. Fast forwards many years later, the Civil Engineering heavy equipment operators tore the building down.

They noticed his writing on the demolished walls and sawzall that section out. During roll call the next day they called him up in front of everyone ( he had no idea why ) and presented him with that section of wood structure. Thinking he was a Senior NCO ( putting on several stripes over the years ) and many years older when they presented him with that plaque.

I did the same thing ( on concrete block wall ) but above a drop ceiling some 25+ years ago at the same base just different building. Name, rank, minus serial number lol. I’m sure workers have noticed the writing whenever and whoever lifted tiles for whatever reason in that general area. I left my presence.

About 2 years ago we rewired the lights for a church clock tower.
This room had plenty of graffiti from visitors, usually high school kids who would sneak up there.
I had a ladder with me so I could reach much higher than any others.
I signed my name in cursive writing, of all things, and then dated the visit in Roman Numerals.

In a few years both cursive writing and the Roman Numeral date will be beyond comprehension of anyone able to climb the 80 or so ladder rungs to get up there.
