Panel change out and clean up
We swapped out 40 lights in this building and disconnected several circuits that were energized for no reason. Half of which were not even capped. My pre pics were only taken to show horror not pre/post work.

Good job. Definite improvement and payback for safety and future service.

Hard to beat those FPE breakers though. Those things never gave any problems.

Those are not FPE, breakers are either ITE, or Siemens, depends on the age, same breakers different owner/ brand.

Nope, ITE/Siemens, not Bryant/Westinghouse/Cutler-Hammer/Eaton BR AKA "Zinsco II" There are very distinctive differences between makes.

They were clearly marked Bryant.

Happens as we get older sometimes due to an enlarged prostrate. Have you been getting a yearly physical and a PSA Blood Test? PC hits about 1 out of 7 men.
If you can't fix it with JB Weld, Duct Tape, and Ty Wire it has to be replaced.
No good deed goes unpunished.
If you want to take off friday to go fishing then make sure you train your helper right.

I think my Grandpa died with prostate cancer but he had it for something like 30 years and died of alcoholism and old age. I could be wrong maybe it was colon cancer I don't know but I know he had some kind of cancer for 30 years and didn't get treatment.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Nice looking rebuild...
Always like to see wiring messes cleaned up!
When I was young... wanted to be a sparky...
Got distracted doing remodeling.
Looking back, wish I had gotten the ticket!

... the only thing and you don't know if its related. Is there are a ton of older sparky's that have cancer throughout there body. The guys that deal with higher voltages. My uncle is one of them. 68 years old and and the end of his run.

I probably would not have done heavy commercial/industrial... most of my HVAC has been residential.
I had a customer years ago... who had a 1000A 460 service at a commercial building... did some work for him (mostly 208-230).
Never did like commercial work... not sure why.
Anyways... interesting that working around commercial/industrial power causes cancer.
The alternative health folks think that living too close to high power lines causes brain issues.
