    Thumbs down when i heard the installer send his helper to get more solder (twice)

    i went into the crawl space and saw this mess!

    had him terminated a week later. there was no hope
    Say "I just need a little Freon" one more time!

    Looks like he was heating the silphos rather than the pipe.
    I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

    I have tried to melt 15% with propane and I didn't even do that good. I think it would have to be mapp at the least.

    Back when I was in vo-tech teacher made us start out using mapp gas, then after we got pretty good with it, we got to move to the torch. His reasoning for it was he wanted to show us how hard it is to weld without the damn torch hot enough. Guess he was trying to keep us from doing crap like in the OP pictures.
