ReplyYou need an unpowered buffer tank between the geo and the WH. Without it you will not get significant output from the geo's desuperheater.

I have a Climatemaster geo unit,about 11 years old.I'm installing a hybrid/electric(heat pump)
Ruud 65g water heater tomorrow. also has hot water recirculation,which is not diagramed in the install book.Would anyone be able to help me with a piping diagram for this setup? single tank.

Here is the diagram. This is from bergy, a member here who hasn't been active for a few years. The "main tank is the powered water heater. The recirculator circuit is not shown, but the recirculator circuit would come off the outlet of the main tank, with the return line injected back into the bottom of the main tank.
