Sounds like fun. Most places are part capacity, masks, scheduling visits, etc.

Not sure what the hotel rates are, prolly expensive. I do have an unfinished basement...hhhmmmm....

Well, if it is spring/summer we could always have it at a park or something too....one that allows alcohol anyway .

Was it Rodney Carrington that sung about "Titties and Beer"? I think so.

A bunch of old guys drinking. I’m thinking
port-a-potties would be needed. Or a few trees at least.

We don't have much here but there is the Country Club that rents out for wedding receptions and the like with a restaurant attached. There are some other places similar but not a lot of night life places. The other bad thing is closest airport is 45 miles away. Depending on when the Spring and Fall Nationals are here for stock car racing, IMCA modified and the like but you can' find motel space at that time. But we are close to center USA and COVID is falling drastically.

A bunch of us are in Georgia, and the state is open as COVID restrictions go.

I'll come if I can. Already met quite a few of you.

Hey, if everyone came to Oregon, we have a nice beachfront casino resort we could all stay at. We could drink, gamble, and then go catch some halibut. Not necessarily in that order.

    I am feeling Denver, too.

I sure with the vaccine and things calming down if not by the end of spring here we will know much more and we will all be able to really dial this in.

I am not opposed to any other locations. Seems like Denver was gaining traction early on and thinking to keep that going. Seems a fairly neutral location with plenty of amenities, recreational possibilities, and I really think we can work out a venue worse case there if needs be. End up just renting out an entire Motel6 in the shady side of town...cheap girls and watered down whisky just how Dad, likes his!

The only down fall to Denver is the f^cking location of the airport...Jeezus it like an hour drive to just get to the city.

That just got me thinking..and not even selfishly. I am use to Salt Lake where it is 15 minutes to the city center from the airport, half an hour to the ski resorts or high mountain recreation, hour from desert recreation, 3 hours from red rock Moab and Zions and Arches national Parks. There is a lot of misconception and jokes about the booze laws and radical Mormons running the city, but their is an awesome bar scene, downtown area, breweries and distilleries, beer at any convenience station at 5%, and though they are state owned, the liquor stores are amazing. I have connections with commercial properties and folks downtown to get us a venue to meet maybe four blocks from the heart of the city where all the major hotels are. I love flying in and out of SLC, 6th largest airport in the nation, yet only ranked the 23rd busiest, a hub to SouthWest and Delta. I fly in and out all the time. My wife's Uncle flew in for the first visit ever to Salt Lake last month. My wife and I picked him up on the way to his hotel in downtown, he just looked at the massive mountains the entire time and was blown away how close and tall they were? I always taken it for granite, and then when we rolled into downtown, he was blown away that I had him to his hotel in the heart of Salt Lake in 20 minutes from the moment he left the baggage carousel. I parked with ease, and we had all had drinks together at the Hilton Hotel lounge bar. Bars and restaurants are opened here, it is finding a venue to meet that is in range of hotels, where folks can come and go, I am pretty sure I can facilitate that. Legally that is the tough part and that is group gatherings, thus venues are a tough thing, but.....That is all I can say about that since this is a public forum

I will be more than happy to take on the responsibility to see if I could not organize and set up something here in Salt Lake if there is an interest.

Was supposed to tag along with wife to SLC for a work conference about 3.5 years ago. Or first kid had other plans......

So it’s still on out list.
