    No elements for Rheem RTE-27

Local church has a five year old Rheem RTE-27 tankless electric water heater. Because the unit was installed for commercial use it only had a one year warranty, and now there aren’t any replacement elements.

The elements are marked as 208V 5500W, but they are very short foldbacks (under 8 inches).

Any ideas on who might make replacement elements?

Yup. It’s looking like a new unit is in order.

One of the reasons the old elements went bad was that they didn’t have the isolation valves like your picture shows for cleaning out the scale.

This one is German built. I have been looking to replace my tank with a tankless, and really didn’t want to go propane, and Piedmont NG said it would cost to much to bring me natural gas. So I decided on electric. I was so impressed with the design of this one I didn’t even think twice to buy it.

Once a few customers pay and I can buy the wire and sub panel/breakers it’s going in.
