Creating proper ACH in home

Say one had no fresh air in a home and wanted to use a box fan with open windows. How could I calculate ACH

house is 3000sqft

If you google air changes per hour a formula will pop up.

It’s cfm x60/volume of structure = ACH

So if you had 8 ft ceilings you would need to bring in 1600cfm of outside air...if my math is correct.


Edit...that would be 4 ACH of fresh air. Would overwhelm your normal residential hvac system...
