    Baxter Oven

I am working on a Baxter 0851 oven. This is a rotating oven. All the lights come like a self check. It shows it is purging but it times out and goes into alarm. The exhaust fan on the roof is working. I have checked all of the micro switches Does anyone have any experience with these ovens.

That's not a valid model number.

Baxter oven model numbers all start with two letters (OV, BV), then three numbers (310, 400 or 500), with a one or two character suffix indicating whether it's gas or electric heat (E, G, EE, E2, etc.).

    Me niether. It's just there.

I Googled your model and came up with this manual:
    https://www.hobart.com.mx/pdf/ManualOper/F31199.pdf

There might be something in there that can help. ITW doesn't really offer service manuals for public consumption, so that's the best I can find.

I've never worked on one of those ovens, so can't really offer you much more. Sorry.

I figured it out. Once it times out on the purge cycle it alarms or beeps till you press the run button for the rack to start rotating. I spent about three hours on it after I put the chain back on the conveyer. I think they jammed it up to knock the chain off. I am familiar with the sequence of operations now. It is a good thing I am in house and had the time to do this.

I understand that. I'm in house too.

    FWIW, here's a newer manual:
