    Question Condensation Drainage Problem

    Hi.

My home has 2 HVAC's with coils from Allstyle Coil Company, model FMSP. One one of the units, the bottom pan keeps filling up, stopping the unit. Obviously, it is not draining properly. The draining pipe on both units are connected to the same drain PVC pipe. I've attached some photos.

Any suggestions on correcting the problem greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

The lower pan & switch is a back-up in case the coil pan or top drain plugs...

Well, yes. I understand that. The top drain, as you called it, is obviously not draining properly. Hence it’s likely backed up. I guess I need to take apart the pvc assembly to find the clog. I was just wondering if there is an easier way.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

If you remove the coil access cover, you can try to use a shop vac to suck the clog out of the trap and pipe.
