Workplace Tech and Tridium LON tunnel

Curious if anyone has used Workplace Tech to access LON devices using the Tridium LON tunnel? Went to test on a new N4 installation only to find the LON and serial tunnel no longer ship with N4. Loaded the serial tunnel from an AX release and it works fine with the Maxline ASD driver.

Lon and serial tunnel was removed from N4 due to the insecure connection you have while connected via IP. There are hopes of a rework.

Serial tunnel works great with the N4 Maxline ASD driver. Had to install the client side from an AX release but the customer is thrilled he can run XPSI remotely through the VPN. Security is a non-issue on this project since the network is locked down to the outside world.

Any update on the N4 LON tunnel? If I understand the issue correctly, the problem is with Schneider/ENE changing Workplace Tech to use a secure port/protocol.

Can it be confirmed using an ilon600 (or variant) and the new version of workplace tech, with the built in tunnel tool, one can access remote mnl controllers?
