    Dimming a Single LED Lamp?

I have a chandler over my kitchen table, it has five candlebra bulbs and one PAR 20 down light. I can only find the downlighting in a 50 watt equivalent, which is too bright. Can I dim the bulb with a resistor?

If the LEDs are dimmable just install a dimmer switch.

Can't do, there are four parallel switches that control this light. I don't want to dim the LED Candelbras, just the down light, which is dimmable. I have a place I could put a resistor inside the fixture. BTW I've tried "A" type bulbs, the small ones won't fit, a 40 watt equivalent sticks out past the lamp shield.
