Not sure if this individuals issue was resolved, but I ran across this same 9 flash code on a gas pack during cooling, and found I was only receiving 11 volts on the top left terminal (yellow wire) labeled limit on main board. Traced to high limit corroded connection, cut stripped and recrimpped new female connector, wire brushed terminal, 26vac on board now but ordered new limit switch regardless. I guess yorks want to know they're limits are good before you call for heat, makes sense =].

What doesn't make sense is that the code nine will lockout cooling.

According to York they stated 24 volts runs through the heat limit and back to the board where it monitors it regardless of heat call or cooling. I found it weird as well. But issue went away, will update upon switch replacement if it happened again prior to returning.

If you ain't have time to do it right, then you must have the time to do it twice. 😊

Don’t have one I’ll try get a schematic. Haven’t been back, another technician replaced the switch, unit hasn’t been down since, been over a month.

    Access to manual?

I can not access this manual. I am dealing with a multiple call back on a York RTU which is erroneously engaging the heat cycle.. and full heat cycle in which valve opens and igniter is lighting?

    One more thing.

Please do not post your need in someone else's thread.

Next time, start your own. Give the model, serial, etc, and state your issue.

    Thanks.

I do not get reminders or alerts that this thread is still being accessed and people are requesting a copy of my troubleshooting manual. The original link DOES work, but you must be a PRO member to access it. From here on out people just need to work on getting there PRO membership and they can access the link. To learn how to get membership go to this link:
    https://hvac-talk.com/vbb/showthread...nal-Membership

It is not a hard process and invaluable to become a PRO as to access all the resources that can assist you in your career. Hope to see you all there.

I do have some Youtube stuff about the York Simplicity software and how to use it, you may not use the software but through out those videos I do touch upon 9 blink issues.

    Cheers,
    SLCTECH

Hi SLCtech, could it be possible to have that manual? Ran into this issue today on an heat pump rooftop unit.
    Could use some help.

    Thank you!

TB....I noticed I missed a text from you some time back, I was in AZ visiting the in-laws and was out of cell service for a week (it was pure serenity) and once back into range was obliterated by awaiting texts and voice messages. So I apologize your text was missed. I figure you got your York issue resolved. In any case if we do not talk or text, you have your self a wonderful Christmas my friend!

It would be best if you interacted for a bit. Because we really know nothing about you. By the way, there is tons to learn here.
