just a thought has any one checked the gear box and its oil ?
i have seen thickened oil make a motor do the same thing

 

Yeah I replaced the oil recently, gear box is running fine.

 

When using a phase converter you need to have the single phase voltage the same as the motor voltage .You cannot use 208V as your supply voltage for a 415V motor. Whats your ML as most motors are multivoltage and if so need to be wired for 208V

 

It's not underpowered, it's just not a good dough machine.

Find a motor shop near you. They can really work wonders. They should be able to rewind your motor to work with your circumstances. If they cannnot, chances are they'll be able to source something to make it work. You'll probably pay good money for this service tho.

 

Thanks for the response, I've heard from several people that rebuild h600s that a 2hp motor can be used successfully. Have you any experience with this? Here is a photo of one such mixer.
