I have been unable to participte lately due to a diagnosis of cancer. My doctors have given my the news that I my time is very short. I want to thank everyone for all the posts and the enjoyment I've gotten from this site. I was told I had cancer at the end of January and may only have days to a few weeks left. For all of you out there, please don't smoke or if you currently do.....quit. I knew better when I smoked and have actually been quit for 20 plus years. Cancer is a very distructve disease and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I am very sorry to hear about this sir I can't imagine what you must be going through all I can do is encourage you and offer hope that our Lord Jesus Christ gave us to live eternally after this short life is over. He conquered death and now death has lost its sting for us through his sacrifice. I trust you have a personal relationship with him.

They argued that, as the Religious Right became increasingly visible and militant, it became associated with Christianity itself. And if being a Christian meant being associated with the likes of Jerry Falwell, many people—especially political moderates and liberals—decided to simply stop identifying as Christians altogether.
I cannot imagine getting that news. I'm a survivor of the disease (mine was a slight ripple in day to day life while so many others suffer far worse) and I've lost many family members succumb to it. Seeing them fade away was the main reason I never took up smoking. Your in my thoughts my friend.

I can't imagine what is going through your mind right now. You and your family are in my prayers. Thankfully smoking isn't something I ever got addicted to.

If you have not already cemented your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, you could do so this very day and be fully prepared to enter into his presence. His ressurection is the proof that his promises are kept, and we are wise to belive that he is the Lord.

I am saddened to hear of your disease. I hope you are not in physical pain from it. I hope your warning about smoking reaches those who are still captive to it.
Tobacco companies are greedy liars and should be held responsible.

I admire the courage that you are demonstrating right now and I'm sorry. My wife got cancer last year. She's fine today, but I still understand what you're going through. I hope you can find peace and I want to assure you that there are helpful drugs that will prevent you from needlessly suffering in the coming weeks.
