Kangs0526 in my experience the it usually a problem with the water side of the system, I would start there. The refrigerant side of the system is the last place I would look. I see you have already been digging around there. Is the machine clean, are there deposits built up on the evaporator, what is your ice thickness level adjusted out to? These are some good places to start.

What made you determine the TXV was bad?

If u are a tech and are serious and know what you're talking about....
We need actual info/facts to go off of. All you've said is you replaced the txv. Well ...why? One doesn't just on a whim change a txv, as there's usually evidence to back it up with.

By clean machine we also mean the evap. Is it clean? Check when dry also

Had a Manitowoc would not make ice during its normal time frame. The master tech that owned the company took charge out weighed it in prolly 3 times. No way hgv leaking by. Changed txv. Still notta. Good water pressure filled up correctly. No water going anywhere. Final fix compressor. Valve was worn out and could not bring suction low enough. After he changed lots of parts he finally decided to get a compressor and that fixed it. Made ice just couldn't get that pressure down there. That was a hard one. That's why u don't buy used ice machines to fix up

To the guys changing lots of parts, if in any way your not 100% sure of the diagnosis the manufacturers tech help line is a phone call away. I call them all the time. Don't be too proud to double check yourself. Your customers will thank you.

Yep people think ur wasting time but charts and getting all the correct readings will tell you the problem. Has anyone ever heard that a condenser motor will over heat if pulling .1 over rla?? He would bend fan blades to drop it to exact rla or a little lower if motor was pulling over
