I wouldn't normally post this stuff here but I have had a few members show concern and I deeply thank you. my mom passed at 5:30 this morning after 6 &1/2 months of highs and lows like I wouldn't wish on any enemy. she worked so hard to overcome it the doctors were amazed and baffled at some of those hurdles. I know it is a cliché but she truly is in a better place. for my wife and I it is a bitter sweet end. thanks for helping keep my head up.

Moms are the backbone of the family that holds it together. My Mom is 75 and has a job of constantly seeing various doctors. I will miss her when she leaves us, as I am sure you miss yours.

she was 63 and average health. it just baffles ones mind how these things happen. these last 2 weeks or so she had improved so greatly that we had started designing my house to prep for her to live with us. my wife visited her all day Monday till 4:00 in the afternoon and all was good, she just seemed tired. 45 minutes later the doctors called and said you better get here now. we tried to let her go on her own but she was getting to a point where it might not have been peaceful so at 5 a.m. I made the decision to make her comfortable, she was gone by 5:30 and it was very peaceful. i struggled with that decision for 6 months and can honestly say i feel good about it, well as good as could be expected i guess, lol.

My mom passed away a few years ago. It was a struggle that ended up lasting ten years, getting increasingly painful year by year.

thanks guy's. it's been the hardest 7 months I have ever had or could ever predict but things are starting to settle down. now it's time for the crazy summer at the restaurant. then vacation to graceland again. we were planning a trip with my mom so we have to follow through.

My sympathies Snup we have followed your trials with her, and truly wish you the best these can be difficult times. My mother passed 7 years ago quickly after a fall. Diabetes was taking away her mobility, vision, and all the things she enjoyed. Her suffering was shortened. Remember the good times..
