first would be my Fluke 87 meter and then my monometer/ magnahelic.. the meter is a no brainer but the magnahelic is key in trouble shooting airflow issues which seem to all to common in my area

I'd have to say my Klein magnetic nut drivers are grabbed out of my pouch the most. Home cheapo sells a "5/16 and a 1/4" set with 11" hollow shafts for around 20 bucks. Can't go wrong with that.

I agree with Dave. A cordless sawzall is a definite must have! you never know when a sparkys wire or plumbers pipe could halt your path lol. Not sure what hes referring to when he says "hole saw for cutting 14" - 20" holes"? what are you talking about? do they even make hole saws that size!? LOL im trying to picture that

And the Milwaukee hacksaw is even better. You can use it one handed. So convenient

Probably my Bosch 12v Max Impact, Small and lightweight. Keep it in my main tool tote so I have it at all times.

These thing are excellent at "inventory arraignment"

so far in the last three weeks I have had to re-arrange all the parts and tools on my truck two times.

Now i can't find anything on my truck

My little "magic wand".

A good pocket screwdriver. I use it more than my whole toolbox.

That and my AA mini mag with the $20 LED upgrade.

Won't leave home without them.

I love tools. Some of my favorites are: Bosch 12V drill/driver - everyday use, Appion CRTs - (I use three to pull vacuums. That way I can isolate the pump and 1/2" hoses to test ability to pull vacuum and then I can isolate only the unit without the hoses), BlueVAc micron gauge with rate of leak and .1 micron resolution, Testo 550, Cooper Electro Therm SHR77A for wet bulb and dry bulb readings.

Leatherman surge/aa mini-flashlight gets use the most when you factor in after work. Milwaukee m12 drill, manometer, digital thermometer, fluke meter, in that order. Use those tools on every call.

Think I could do most calls with just the leatherman and the meter if I had to though

As Poodle Head Mikey answered in another thread about this same question, the only answer I can think of is My Brain.

Not sure if the 'Like this Post' system was in place at the time, but his response probably deserves everyone's 'Like' for that answer. There just is no better tool that we use every minute of every day while on the job. Well, at least most of us, anyway.

Hey guys, how you all doing?

I'm currently enrolled in IvyTech School for my associates degree in HVAC.
The question I had for everybody is what is YOUR favorite tool?
Or what is a new tool that has been developed that you know of, that makes everybody's life easier?
OR what tool or equipment do you know of that is just plain out interesting?

Reason I ask is because we have a project to present to the class about a tool that we are aware of, that is great to use, and explain its basic functionality.

It could be gauges, meters, leak detectors, schrader valve removers, I don't know pretty much anything.
Hopefully you guys can help me with some ideas, thanks!
