Looking for a job

I'm in Louisiana, can't relocate, I've been unemployed for a month come tomorrow. If anyone has any ideas, leads, or jobs I would be interested.

Sorry to hear about your predicament, I understand about the relocation thing, if I needed to find a new employer relocating would probably not be possible for me either. Have you thought "outside the box" a little, maybe finding a supply house that needs someone with some controls/IT experience, with all the new internet enabled thermostats I'm sure that someone with experience in that area would be an asset to them for technical support purposes. Or maybe moving into plant maintenance with all their PLC controls your experience would put you above most applicants.

I finally got out of contracting and moved to the facilities side recently, never been more satisfied and stress free.

Best of luck with the job search. Make sure you do well in the interviews (interviewing prospective employers that is).

Hey joey that's the route I took myself because I didn't want to travel. I went to work for a Property Management company as a Lead Engineer and now I'm the Director for the Physical Plant. Sometimes it's strange how our fortunes can change.
