You're lucky the monster that did that didn't catch you in it's den or you'd have been stuck up there with just your head sticking out of it.

Too funny!...I actually wondered if there was a workman entombed somewhere in that mess.

Looks like a DIY'er that read that spray foaming your ducts in an attic will increase efficiency. Makes you have more respect for our no DIY advice rules.

reminds me of the original "The Blob" movie.
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and stamps EVER.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals". Their stated reason for this policy "... the animals become dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

He probably asked the guy at Home Depot about insulating the ducts in his attic, and the guy at Home Depot gave him 50 cans of Great Stuff and told him what to do.

I wonder if someone left a can up there and the heat in the attic caused the can to explode..At any rate, that is some funny s**t!!

I did a retrofit on one just like this. They had wrapped the duct in garbage bags(?!) and foamed every blessed thing in the attic. Ducts, plenums and air handler. We had to break it up and haul out bags and bags of that foam. Pretty funny now but I was really annoyed at the time.

You can tell the foam fell out of the roof truss cavity, it must have been damp and the foam just dropped instead of grabbing the wood
