Got back from Toledo yesterday, saw a Tesla S in Toledo and a McLaren F1 on the Ohio Turnpike.

The Tesla was driven by a 75+ year old dude that should have been driving a walker

The Mclaren went for 70mph to HOLY MOTHER OF GOD...in less than 3 seconds.

I was going 74mph and the McLaren pulled up next to me and Im pretty sure he just punched it (didn't bother to down shift) and he was LITERALLY gone in 3 seconds.

I have been around a lot of fast cars,(Jag's, porch, Maserati, Ferrari.. you name it) this was by-far the fastest thing I have seen in a awhile
Why am I the only naked person at this gender reveal party

Hydrogen fuel cell is the future, not batteries.
Is that the same Top Gear that said the Lexus was a piece of junk?

The key to it all is energy density. When they can put the power of twenty gallons of gasoline into a battery the size of a twenty gallon gas tank - and do it in 3-4 minutes - then it will all fly. Until then it won't.

My son's boss has some top-go-the line Testa hot-rod and it is Quite impressive. Fast, fast, fast. He moved closer to the office after he bought it though. <g>

We've been producing electric cars for almost 200 years now and the problem has always been the same: the insufficient energy density of batteries as compared to other fuel sources.

As an interesting aside - the world speed record was held by an electric car until about 1900. <g>

That's what happens when you sell stock in a company. Everybody's a critic -- especially the stock analysts.

It has little to do with being a critic when you just miss, and than lower future guidance!
