    You’d listed as a contractor?

What Brand is the Outdoor Unit ?

Most manufacturers energize the "Reversing Valve" on Cooling mode (Rheem & Ruud , maybe Ameristar , energize in "Heat") If the unit has an "O" terminal on the Board it means the Rev Valve energizes in Cooling , so it must get power when AC is needed , and if the unit has "B" means the Rev Valve energizes in Heating which means it wont need power at all, because its already in Cooling mode

(Although sometimes B can be "common" on older units, so follow your wires to see where they go)

So if your unit energizes in cooling "O" .... you just wire "O" to come on with "Y"

We cannot give you any more information about wiring ... that is all you get
Tell your Cat I said "Psst Psst Psst"

It seems like everywhere I go the AC is broken

Maybe is resi comfort cooling adopted common wire colors it would be better.

Did some amistar units (supplied by building owner) and they used purple wire for the w signal. Like really. Purple….
And they used black wire to the common term where I see most people use blue.

I say make em all black wires and do away with color coding, would force people do pay closer attention to what’s going on. 😂

White with tiny letters like Carrier used to use.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Seen Trane rtus with all black wires and tiny white numbers. Not all the bad really. Find your part in the diagram and then look and see you need wire 423 and 424….
