    Question

    Code:
    Rheem RAPC 14 SEER 3-ton
      vapor line 3/4" [19.05 mm] O.D. Opt.
                 7/8" [22.23 mm] O.D. Std.
               1 1/8" [28.58 mm] O.D. Opt.
Assuming under 25' length, if you use an existing 3/4" vapor line (as opposed to the 7/8" standard specified), about how much will that affect performance/capacity ??

    thanks

Seems that most 3-ton AC use 3/4" suction line. Some are 7/8". Why do they use 7/8 when 3/4 works for everybody else ?
