    Manitowoc

I've been doing some PM work on Manitowoc's Model# SY-1804A
It seems the evap door cover never seals properly on the top. There's always a gap about a 1/4". I checked to see if the units are level which they are and theres no sagging. Is this common with these units? I put some foam tape to make up for the gap. Is there something I'm missing?

I've run in to a couple models before, where the door or cover (Q model/S model) just didn't fit right. I did the same thing you did. Maybe just a quality control miss?

We actually just replaced a water probe on the same model over at a casino, and the doors never wanted to seal right, so we tapped some new screw holes slightly higher to raise the piece that the top of the door hangs on, and that seemed to work out just fine... ive seen this same problem on a lot of s series machines though.
