It was a busy first day at the 2011 AHR Expo in Las Vegas, NV. I started out the day at the Women in HVACR sponsored seminar: Developing the OSHA Champion in your Organization. Sharon McGee a Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) and an OSHA trainer gave a very informational lecture on why safety training is so important to businesses. On average 15 workers die each day from job or work related injuries. Training and documentation are key to the safety and success of any business. Visit osha.gov for more information.

RIDGID introduced the micro CA-100 view-only inspection camera at the show. It has a new larger 3.5-in. display screen and the inspection camera allows for more detailed visual digital inspections in hard to reach areas. RIDGID also introduced the LM-100 laser distance meter. It provides distance readings up to 164-ft. It's class II laser allows for easy measurement of remote, hard to reach places.
