The shocking news of Carnak (his name on this site) has passed away. I read the news of this on the other channels. I have no other details. He was always a giving person who would share his vast knowledge of HVAC with anyone.

Rip Abby you will be missed
My sincere condolences to his family.
I, as many have, had the opportunity to take advantage of his knowledge, which will be missed.
As a Canadian, who worked some time ago for a company with a branch/depot in Thunder Bay, I always felt a slight connection to him, even though he worked in the Caribbean. With Carnak in the Caymans and my wife, being from Barbados, this only added to the connection. I never had the opportunity to meet him like others did on this site, but I sure would have liked to.
Again, I hope those that were close to him can find some peace from the knowledge he was extremely well respected and liked with this forum

Is this a Fabreze moment? C.Y.D. I'm voting white elephant. 2¢.
I was just talking to him last week too.
Anybody have an address we can send a card to?
Details are sketchy at best, but it's been confirmed by a call to his office.
I would bet that in the next 24-48 hours details will be available via the internet concerning Murray.
I would watch Grand Cayman and Thunder Bay, Ont. news feeds.
A good contributing forum member. He replied to me on many of my threads, he will be missed.
Always here

It's Time To Be Nice To People
I met Murray also. A good guy. A sad day for all of us on all the sites. Murray we will meet up again later.
I'm shocked and saddened. Murray and I exchanged emails and pm's occasionally but never met in person, though I wish I could have met him. I enjoyed his posts and sense of humor online, and his knowledge was well seasoned.
You will be sorely missed here at hvac-talk, Murray, as I'm sure those who knew you well will be grieving and missing you as well. R.I.P. and keep 'em cool up there!
Psychrometrics: the very foundation of HVAC. A comfort troubleshooter's best friend.
RIP bro'
true knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing.
Very sad indeed. Very nice gent who's postings I will miss.
Anyone know what his last name was or where a card can be sent?
Truly sad news....a brilliant man. I will miss his wit.

It is time for all good men to come to the aid of their country, for we are in deep crap.
Here is a link to the Funeral Home information and online condolences book. As far as I can see the obituary has not yet been published.
